Twitter's API is so limited that any chance of people making better apps is almost always stifled. There were some really, really good Twitter apps that were way better than the official one for Android. If you find somebody annoying and they keep popping up, mute them if you're following them or if you don't want to see their things. The Canadian block is the best.
