The History of Women in the Church

Many Christians have argued that Eve's decision to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden brought sin and suffering into the world. The New Testament also includes texts that emphasize women's subordination to men. According to Breckas, at one point, women were able to have a hand in influencing Christianity but arguing women were crucial guardians of religious and political virtue.
