The Desire to Return to Nature in Education

The desire to return to nature, particularly when thinking about education, is potent. And it's living and active in educational thought today. My favorite bad example of this can be traced to no less venerable volume than the great tradition,. In particular, the Lost Tools of Learning by Dorothy Sayers. I just think it's very pernicious what Burke is criticizing here in the French revolutionaries is precisely what Sayers recommends.
