Bakunin's Thoughts on Nationality
Bakunin had been isolated in prison and then banished to the other side of the world. When he came back, he discovered that his own thinking had gone quite a bit beyond even the most a of them. Marks himself famously commented on this in a letter to angles approvingly. Baunan now had some pretty funky ideas about the nature of power and authority. His socialism now had a distinctly libertarian flare. The liberation of the human spirit more than anything else was now the object of his revolutionary ambitions. But he was also still committed to his nationalism and his belief that people deserved self determination. And bakunan saw nations, in effect, as the individual of the world's stage
