The Climate of South Asia Is Complex

The climate of south asia is generally warm and wet. The low lying areas are tropical. In fact, the tropic of cancer cuts right through the middle of india. Thereis a complex seasonal cycle. It is not simple alternation of winter and summer like one is used to in the western hemisphere. Rather, the climate is governed by the shifting winds on the indian ocean which are called the monsoons.
