James, Brother of Jesus, and the Martyrdom of the Apostles

The martyrdom of the apostles is not described in the New Testament. Most scholars agree that it's at least partially interpolated if not the whole thing. There seems to be wide discrepancy on the how and like some of those narratives. And then we get to Peter and Paul. I of course dispute that Paul was a firsthand witness in the sense that he could attest to the resurrection. Sure. But is that he's in the same category as the other 12 that you want to talk about?
