If you ever hear an officer say I'm only doing this thing right here as a stepping stone to this that should immediately be cut because A that shows that you're a selfish prick yeah and two you're stupid enough to say that out loud it's a double whammy. Every day that officer show up like I don't want to be mediocre officer  and if it's I'm here to make a difference right there's plenty of officers out there that are just okay with being mediocrity. The military or the army's definition of leadership provide purpose direction motivation but improve the organization, he says.
