The History of Dreams
Psychologists have always been interested in dreams. In the 1950s, Eugene Asarinsky used a machine that measures brainwaves to monitor somebody throughout the night. He found people were dreaming about five times a night. The dream's got longer as the night went on and most important of all, now they've got access,. reliable access to the content of those dreams. It doesn't take much to nudge you off of being awake. If you wake someone up when they're asleep, they don't remember their dream. Really, two, three minutes afterwards they've gotten absolutely no recollection of the dream. So when you remember a dream is because you woke up it hadn't finished? Absolutely
