In the dark it's hard to see reality as it truly is and in the light of day we can see more clearly. I think about this parable a lot because there are so many things in our lives that we are perceiving as the snake when it is in fact the rope. So many negative emotions breakups even spirals into addiction where we think we are at the rock bottom but maybe it is our biggest opportunity feelings.
