Wamanke's Story of the Boat Rummles
By 19 66, wamanke had moved on from metrick to warner brothers and become a junior a n r man. He was put in charge of developing the artist that warners had acquired when they bought up a small label, autumn records. Wamank had gathered around himself a sort of brains trust of musicians who he trusted as song writers, arrangers and pianists. Their job was to revitalize the caveer of the beau brummels and make both the tekes and the mojo men into successors. The tactic they chose was, in waanke's words, go in with a good song and weird it out.
