The Paradime of Artificial Intelligence
The hypothesis is an empirical generalization and not a theorem. The basic paradime for the initial testing of the germ theory of disease was identify a disease, then look for the germ. An analogous paradime has inspired much of the research in artificial telligence. Identify a task domain calling for intelligence, then construct a programme for a digil computer that can handle tasks in that domain. Ai: How do we build these systems that are intelligent? How to make a chess programm better? That kind of thing.
