The contrast between ancient Egypt and other civilizations say at the end of the Bronze Age is really striking. It seems to be so much more deeply rooted, especially the political structures that you talked about. People seem to be very attached to these kinds of structures and institutions. So as a piece of kind of political craftsmanship, I think it's unparalleled in human history because it created both a religion and form of government that everybody felt spoke to them.
