Public Enterprise in Crisis - John Redwood

In 1979, John Redwood wrote a book called Public Enterprise in Crisis. He argued that the solution to bureaucracy and expensive overhead was to move state-owned industries back to the private sector. Margaret Thatcher won a stonking majority in the 1983 general election. Along with colleagues like Nigel Lawson, this was his chance to put his ideas into action.
