Lu Yu is an interesting figure, because there are a number of legends about him as well. He started spending a lot of time in tea houses, which was a popular hangout at the time. And so he has this supposed trajectory that's pretty interesting. Like he starts off as an abandoned child, becomes a monk, then becomes a clown,. Then becomes a scholar, and then essentially become the immortal of tea.
