Yield is a financial concept that itfor fungible tokens, at least, corresponds to either subsidization or selling something else. So i think the same principles also apply to nfts. There is a natural rate of yield, which is, if people want to short your punk, they will pay you five % a year to borrow your punk and then sell it. That's kind of a very real nft shorting, primitive use case. But there's a chasm to be crossed where these go from purely speculative assets to something like eth that is a trusted store of value - even though it just is.
