The Disjunction Between Knowledge and the Unknowable
The disjunction between sense and nonsense is absent from the discourse of philosophy. Lacan refers to it on page three as a kind of intersense, something between sense,. If you like your Lacanian terms, this would be something that is estimate... It's not just one plus one equals philosophy here; it's not just sense and nonsense. This is neither sense nor nonsense. But what Badu rightly refers to as absence, ab meaning off, away from. Absence though is not nonsense. And I think Badu is precisely right. In fact, that's the important part here about Lacan's use of set theory or in keeping with this discussion discourses.
