"We knew it was going to be TV because the novel is episodic," she says. "I think there's something about this short episodic format." The episodes range from longest is maybe 35 minutes and shortest is 20 minutes. All of the sort of any B story, any sort of the supporting characters all sort of emerged through the POV of the two main characters that were getting know over these episodes.
