We have some understanding of the political machinations that happen under Victorinus. And these comes from a series of Latin paninjerics that's speeches written in praise of emperors. These are really important sources because they're full speeches that were delivered before an emperor or were sent to him. Many of them were written and spoken by elites from Gaul, and many of them came from the city of Orton in southern Gaul.
