The Differences Between the 6502 and the 10807 Chips
MOS 6507 is a cost-reduced version of the 6502. The chip has fewer pins, which means it costs less to have fewer pins. This also makes the surrounding circuit more simple. A program on the 6507 with its smaller address bus can only be made up of about 8000 instructions.
