How to Influence a Securities Attorney
The SEC is very strict about broker dealer rules. What's happened over the years is a lot of people have gone out and said like, oh, I'm raising capital for this deal. And that's their only role. Their compensation is based on the success of the deal or the success ofthe transaction. The question I actually asked them is, can you influence the language that goes into your PPM? Who are all the people that can influence and interact with your securities attorney? Only people who are truly general partners on the deal can influence that or interact with a securities attorney.
