How to Apply for a Graduate Program
Professional graduate school and academic graduate school have different priorities with the people that are reading your application. So you should be adapting your application to each of them differently. I would think that the academic or rather the letters of recommendation do matter for the professional grad schools as well but honestly I think that they matter less. It's also you're going to see a lot more professional graduate letters of recommendation so someone who maybe works as a supervisor or in industry that person is perhaps coming at the letter of recommendation from a different perspective.
