Gerald Stratford is one of my vegetable growing heroes so I was very grateful that he wanted to come on the show. We grow all our salads and herbs for the kitchen in three big rows of milk cartons stapled to the fence. At the top we have a piece of old gutter in where I grow all my peas for pea shoots which are delicious. It really works because it's so small you know you you have to keep it watered but that's the lesser of two evils just to spend a few minutes watering everything.
