The Lesson Russia Learned From Ukraine's War on Drones

In Syria, Russia learned how to fly different types of UAVs that were flying them around the clock. At one point they said they had something like 70 to 80 UAVs in the air at any given time or Syria. But again, they did that in a relatively permissive environment. And so fast forward six years later, and Russia invades Ukraine. This was a very different military execution than the ones that we as analysts have expected.
