Everybody knows what it is to be forgotten or left out. Here in matthew, chapter 26, we are kind of experiencing that, but very, very amplified. We're dealing with this theme that is really pronounced here over about 15 or 20 verses. And so jesus is getting actively betrayed to death by one friend and passively abandoned to death by 11 other friends.
