TikTok is owned by a Chinese company called ByteDance. It's the sister app to this other app called Do-Yin. People in the US could still theoretically access IKEA, Mexico for whatever reason they might want to. But people that use Do-yin in China cannot access TikTok. And so that's kind of where a lot of these concerns have come from.
