The Atoning Work of Jesus on the Cross

In Romans, Paul uses Abraham as an example for justification. He says that to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. To those who trust in God and justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. This isn't a new testament, a brand new New Testament idea; this is something that Paul says has been going on through the entire story.
