Aggressive End of Life Care in Elderly Adults With Metastatic Cancer
A new study looked at aggressive end of life care among older adults with metastatic cancer living in nursing homes and community settings. There wasn't a huge difference between the two groups, although there was a significant difference for those who were more likely to be admitted to intensive care units or die within 30 days of death. The authors used different parameters that they thought were an appropriate way to sort of signal aggressive end-of-life care. They're not unreasonable, but they're just markers.
