The Rise of Gay Rights in the United States in the Nineteen Nineties

Prior to nineteen ninety two, democrats and republicans were similarly opposed to gay rights. As more people signed on to the gaywrights movement in the nineteen nineties, hollywood studios and t v networks began to tell more stories about gay people. But does this really solve the mystery of the rapid decline in homophobia in the united states? If political activism and attention from hollywood were eno to combat by us, wouldn't we also see a faster decline in mesagony and white supremacy?
