The End of Summer Vacations
For nearly 200 years, no one has spotted a galapagos landaguana crawling round its native santiago island. Scientists thought the stocky, brownish red lizard had gone extinct after non native predators like farol pigs, cats and donkeys arrived. By midday yesterday, nearly 500 flights were cancelled and around two thousand delayed in the us alone. The blame game is the same as it's been all summer, severe weather, staff shortge s and high travel demand.
