"I'm still in therapy talking about how my mom was way too distant," says Alex Jones. "She kicked me off her lap and said, you can't be a mom as boy now", he recalls being told by his mother when he was six years old. He's not overtly like fake crying on the show but it makes sense that she would have been emotionally abusive to him. The idea that his maternal figure would be like, 'Don't be a pussy. You're a man,' reinforces all of these masculinity ideas.
