The Evolution of Mathematical Ability

Humans already had concepts of God. You don't get God by abstracting from what you see with your eyes. So humans were already able to do that in linguistic areas. And then they got good at doing that with mathematical abstractions as well. It's not it's the evolution there uses our cognitive processes, but it's basically a cultural process.
