We cannot create our identity. We have to receive it from our creator. Even jesus, after his baptism, had to hear his true identity from heaven rather than figure it for himself. And this is why interhealing, prayer, prophetic prayer, listening prayer are so important. Because we have to listen to others. That helps us discover what we were made to do adwho we are. Then finally, we need to listen to god. Listen. Try things and get feedback on them.
