The Importance of Long Rides

There is an effect called cardiac drift. It's also can be referred to as the slow component of VO2. This is one of the causes of dehydration, but a really important cause when you're doing these long rides is muscle fiber fatigue. The more frequently you do these rides, the longer they'll go or just you'll reduce the amount of cardiac drift over time. Get them on the bike in November or December and I want to be able to see it reduced by 5% at the beginning of this season.
