Heidegger and Spangler's Argument for Industrial Society
Kaczynski's analysis of industrial society has a lot of truth to it, sure. But I don't think you can extract that piece of writing from the greater context of who he was as a man and his mental illness. Heidegger is always finding this angle: You can't subjugate your political philosophy to your perspective on technology. The goal is to bring down technology because anytime you come up with another goal, you can find a way for technology to use that technology to help accomplish this other goal.
