I think a somewhat split on this question of what is the nature of morality or ethics. There's a rich philosophical tradition arguing both for it against that position. For me the intuition in that case is much stronger. It's like, well no, like most people are lying, that seems to be working well. So you should lie in this case as well because this is just another example of where lying raises people's well-being. And so throughout your experience you've learned that basically you just want to lie almost always unless there's some like compelling reason to do otherwise.
