Jesus Dies Praying, Father Forgive Them

The cross is not what God inflicts upon Jesus in order to forgive. The cross is what God in Christ endures as he forgives. We violently send our sins, the sin of the world, into Jesus and he dies. He bears those sins down to death, shield, Hades the grave. And so we come back from the grave and the first word of the new world is peace be with you. How do you bridge that gap? What are some of the things that you might say?
