The Benefits of Intermittent Fasting

Ketones serve as an energy source you know to sustain all of our muscle and brain function when people are fasted. Marathon runners are known for running off of fat because of that metabolic switching that occurs once they deplete all of the glycogen. So it's a massive benefit flipping this metabolic switch. It can also serve to preserve our muscle mass which is so hard to put on just from switching from the oxidation or burning of glucose to the primarily fatty acids and ketones.
