Is There a Problem in Healthcare?

In many ways, the point of the book for non-specialists or general audience is to help sharpen your intuition. What's the problem we're trying to solve? With healthcare? What exactly is that problem? That's a little tricky because oftentimes, we can identify certain problems which are pure efficiency issues and say, okay, we want to provide these goods with maximum efficiency, how do we do it? Healthcare covers everything. And again, I think heuristically, as far as we know, the best way to accomplish this is through competition.
