The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley
Aldous huxley said that to make biological survival possible, mind at large has to be funnelled through the reducing valve of the brain and the nervous system. Huxley was a very observant, intelligent human being. We know that ad you don't need to be in your ascience to observe your own mind and extract some conclusions about it. But i think what the data and the reasoning, reliable mathematical reasoning, what they are showing us is that it's much worse than even huxley would have dared to imagine. What we see is what our mind infers about the world, is not the world as it actually is. A pilot can fly a plane safely
