These were formerly known as functional g disorders, but then the title functional has become very burdened with bias. And so there's this move to rebrand these disorders because we now know a little bit more about why they happen that way. We think eno is a combination of altered motility, visceral hyper sensitivity, a change in the epitholial barrier of the gut and mucosal immunis function. These patients don't fit an impatient diagnosis, and they don't have to be worried about right now, while my patient p oeps are crashing.
