Erbless: I have a background in geography, planning and urban design but no formal training or experience in anthropology. Everything I talk about in this episode is stuff that I have read in books,. heard on podcasts, seen in presentations on the internet. It represents my superficial understanding as an amateur of what is a vast and fascinating topic. In subsequent episodes, parts two and three probably, I will then talk about how to apply this thinking to specific urban sign considerations. And then my argument for why I think this is important for us as urban designers, planners, etc.
