Every time they'd have a session. I would call Fred Wesley or David Matthews, the arranger. And, you know, done any sessions lately? Where? When? What did you record? Who was on the session? He's never really knew what he did, but he used to drive me crazy about details on the sessions. And he would write everything down. So without that, we would have just been guessing.
