i had a correspondence, actually, with some one who wrote to me after that piece, white deck came out. And i was talking about how in different countries races understood differently. In brazil, the history of thinking around races different than it is here. There's no biological markers for these categories, because they are social inventions. Am, but that doesn't mean they're not important, right? That doesn't mean that they don't affect how people live and how people experience the world or how they get treated....
