I think that the odds of an actual default are pretty low. On top of that, it would be just unconstitutional for us to not pay our debts. There's also a legal argument that Congress has passed conflicting laws. And so even though I think the question is, do we default? It's really, really what matters is do we raise the debt limit in time for the x-state?"
