The Failure of Congress and the Democratic Process

Congress was not unable to meet during this time. In fact, we know they were able to meet because they passed major pieces of legislation. They could even proxy vote. I mean, not proxy, but vote from a distance and the oh, they could proxy vote too in the house. That's right. Still can. Or actually that just ended. But up until Republicans took the house chamber, they could still proxy vote under Nancy Pelosi. And so this is something that's really frustrating to me about the failure of Congress and the democratic process.
