Is There a Parasite in the Cosmos?

The cosmos as a whole is not only good, but divine, and it is made from matter. Proclus says that evil has parupostasis - an existence alongside and dependent on things that are good. For Proclus, as very Yamblicus, Theurgy is in fact a higher means of access to the divine than philosophy. We need to pray and perform other rituals that invite the divine to make itself more fully manifest in our world.
