Synthetic Judgments a Priori
Kant: Synthetic judgments a priori yield new information that is necessarily true, but which is not contained within the concept itself. He says we can make no claims of universality or necessity just based on observing the external world. These types of judgments don't touch the actual world and must be done through deduction. We agree implicitly with the fact that these judgments may be right - whatever they may be.
