"I was not marching. I was not walking around and observing and documenting things as a chair," he says. "Margin Braiding is an actual misdemeanor charge, isn't that amazing that we're in such a strange silly world of that?" The FBI tried to interview him at least once before his two-hour interview with CNN but couldn't get permission from the US Attorney General's office due to his status as a journalist. It took more than two months for them to finally let him do it.
