Why Did You Pursue Finance Dev Instead of Trading?
In college I studied computer science and math and I really liked programming but I think I didn't quite know what a career and programming looked like. When I went to Jane Street as an intern I had kind of like a hybrid summer of like doing some dev stuff and some trading stuff. Compared to the Silicon Valley culture is much more about like creativity and doing things that are new that no one else has done before. A healthy amounts of cross-pollination would be good for both, he says.
