How Do You Write a Book?

In terms of your actual writing process, do you dictate? Do you type? Do you get on the phone with Michael and kind of brainstorm? How do you actually get those words done? So when you're talking about creating the book, I brainstorm with Michael. If it's one of my books, I'm usually talking to Charlie Case, another author or my son, Louis, a music manager. And I write an outline, a very complete outline. All the side characters are written out. Before I start writing the first word, it's really fleshed out so that I can just go.
